Lisetta Carmi. Eroticism and authoritarianism at Staglieno

The exhibition marks the entry of a corpus of photographs by Lisetta Carmi, from the series Erotismo e autoritarismo a Staglieno (1966-1976), acquired through Strategia Fotografia 2025. The works engage in dialogue with four sculptures from the GAM collection, highlighting themes of sensuality and the atmosphere of severe bourgeois parental authority. The comparison between sculpture and photography opens up a reflection on the longstanding interweaving of photographic image and death.
